Exceptional residential systems are designed, documented, coordinated and commissioned—not assembled at the end of a build. Regent5 carries projects from early planning through engineering, construction, commissioning, turnover and long-term service, with C10 electrical and C7 low-voltage scope coordinated as one technical platform.
We begin with the residence, the people who will use it and the project team—not a product list. Regent5 defines system intent, priorities, infrastructure, budget range and phasing while the architect, builder, interior designer and owner-side team can still influence the plan. Clients can compare Savant, Control4, Crestron, Lutron, lighting, shading and control experiences at our San Carlos design center before major selections are locked.
The system strategy becomes construction information: low-voltage plans, structured-wiring pathways, device locations, risers, rack elevations, equipment requirements, lighting and shade interfaces, network architecture, security locations, panel and load coordination and resilient-power priorities as required by the project. Regent5 reviews the relevant architectural, interior, electrical, door/hardware, mechanical and landscape information so conflicts are resolved on paper rather than in finished rooms.
Installation follows the construction schedule. During rough-in we verify pathways, wire and fiber, backboxes, blocking, rack and equipment-room conditions, shade requirements, security locations and other trade interfaces before walls close. At trim, the visible hardware is installed to the approved design; then networks, lighting, shades, security, AV, automation and selected power interfaces are programmed and commissioned together under real operating conditions.
Handoff includes more than a walkthrough. Regent5 brings documentation current, closes punch items, trains owners and household staff, establishes support access and can provide remote monitoring and ongoing service. As the residence changes, the same technical relationship can support additions, system takeovers, network and security upgrades, new energy systems and the evolving needs of the estate.

Separate critical infrastructure from optional features, establish realistic allowances and alternates, and create a phased technical strategy that can be budgeted before every product is selected.
Develop low-voltage plans, structured-wiring and fiber information, device schedules, risers, rack elevations, equipment-room requirements, lighting/shade interfaces, security and network details as required.
Coordinate conduits, backboxes, wire, fiber, blocking, shade pockets, equipment power and trade interfaces with the GC while framing and access remain open.
Install keypads, shades, speakers, displays, cameras, touch panels and other visible devices to the approved architectural and interior-design conditions.
Test network performance, calibrate lighting and shades, verify security and access workflows, configure AV and automation, and confirm critical systems behave correctly together.
Bring documentation current, complete punch items, organize system records and establish the information a future service technician or estate manager will need.
Train owners and household staff, establish support and remote-management procedures, and maintain a path for upgrades, additions and future technology changes.
Architects and interior designers need the technology represented correctly in the design and documentation. General contractors need scope, budget, submittals and field coordination that protect the schedule. Owner’s representatives need accountability and a clean turnover. Estate managers need a residence that can be operated and supported after the project team leaves. The technology schedule follows the construction schedule. Design and engineering typically run in parallel with architectural design, the pre-wire lands during framing, and finish work, programming, and commissioning happen alongside the final stages of the build. For a retrofit or remodel, the timeline is set by the scope and how much of the home is opened up. What we commit to in every case is sequencing the work so the technology never becomes the trade holding up the schedule.
Yes, and the project is better when we do. Our engineering package is written for the design team: low voltage plans, lighting circuit schedules, rack elevations, and device locations coordinated with the architecture. We attend project meetings, answer RFIs, and resolve conflicts on paper before they reach the field. Keypad placement, shade pockets, and equipment rooms are design decisions, and we treat them that way.
Yes. Our San Carlos showroom and experience center has Savant, Control4, Crestron, and Lutron systems running live, along with lighting, shading, and audio you can operate yourself. Choosing a platform from a brochure is guesswork; using the keypads and apps side by side settles the question in an afternoon.

We do not publish prices or quote from templates, because a number without a fixture schedule describes a house that does not exist. The proposal is specific to your project or it is not worth writing.
Yes. As a C10 licensed electrical contractor we pull our own electrical permits, design to code, and manage inspections. When a project needs more capacity, we handle PG&E service upgrade coordination from load evaluation through the final meter connection, so the power infrastructure arrives when the project needs it.
Training in your home, documentation of what was built, and a service relationship that keeps the system current. Regent5 service plans provide remote management, proactive monitoring, and priority response, and the same engineering team extends the system as your home evolves.
