They suit different priorities. Sonos has a broad whole-home ecosystem spanning installed amplifiers, architectural speakers, soundbars, subwoofers and standalone speakers, while Bluesound and BluOS are often selected when high-resolution audio and traditional HiFi integration are central. Regent5 installs both and specifies the platform around the project.
Yes. Sonos Amp can power compatible passive speakers, and Amp Multi is designed for larger professionally installed multi-zone speaker systems. Existing speaker impedance, wiring condition, zone layout and performance goals should be checked before reusing the speakers.
Amp Multi is a professional-installation multi-zone amplifier with eight 125-watt outputs that can be assigned across up to four independent zones. It uses Class D amplification with GaN and PFFB technology, includes ProTune per-output adjustment and is designed for clean rack installation.
With Sonos Architectural speakers, Sonos states that each Amp Multi output can support up to three speakers, for as many as 24 architectural speakers across its eight outputs. Actual system design must still account for speaker type, zone goals, wiring and acoustic coverage.
Yes. Arc Ultra supports Dolby Atmos and is designed around a 9.1.4 spatial-audio architecture. It can be expanded with compatible Sonos Sub models and surround speakers such as Era 300 for a more immersive room.
Yes. Sonos supports dual-subwoofer configurations with Arc Ultra using compatible Sonos Sub models. Room size, seating, bass goals and placement still determine whether one or two subwoofers are appropriate.
Yes. Supported Sonos Architectural by Sonance speakers connected to Sonos Amp can use Optimize Sonos Speakers and Trueplay with a supported iOS device. Amp Multi adds Optimize Sonos Speakers plus ProTune controls for manual per-output EQ, gain, delay and filtering.
Regent5 can coordinate supported Sonos control functions with broader Savant, Control4 or Crestron systems. The exact experience depends on the control platform, current drivers and desired functions, so we preserve the native Sonos app where it provides the best access to Sonos-specific features.
Yes. Multiroom audio depends on stable IP connectivity, multicast behavior and predictable coverage. In larger homes we coordinate Ethernet, WiFi, switching, rack layout and hardwired connections where appropriate so audio problems are not caused by weak network infrastructure.
Yes. We can assess the existing Sonos household, account access, network, Amp zones, soundbars, speakers and wiring, then help reorganize, update or expand the system while keeping components that remain appropriate.
Pricing depends on the number of zones, amplifier type, architectural or freestanding speakers, home-theater rooms, racks, wiring, network work and service requirements. Regent5 develops pricing after the room and infrastructure plan is defined rather than publishing a generic package number.
