Roller shades, blackout & motorized drapery
Shade systems are a combination of window detail, fabric, motor, power, pocket, access and control. Drapery adds track geometry and fabric stack. Early coordination allows the designer to decide which systems should disappear fully, which should become a deliberate detail and how privacy, glare and daylight change throughout the day.

Televisions can disappear behind art, within millwork or on motorized lifts; projectors and screens can recess into ceilings; equipment can live remotely in racks. Recessed shade pockets need framing depth, access and power. Drapery tracks need stack space and mounting conditions. Invisible speakers need compatible finish assemblies. Small-aperture speakers need ceiling coordination. Art televisions, motorized lifts and projection screens need structure and service clearance. Keypads need locations that align with door swings, artwork, millwork and furniture. These are design decisions first and installation questions second.

When should the interior designer involve Regent5?

Can motorized drapery and roller shades be fully recessed?
Often yes, but pocket dimensions, track type, fabric stack, motor access, blocking, power and window conditions need to be coordinated before framing and finish work. We work with the design team to determine where fully concealed details are practical and serviceable.
Can speakers be hidden without sacrificing sound quality?
Yes, when the room and performance goals support the right solution. Invisible speakers can disappear behind finished surfaces, while small-aperture architectural speakers minimize ceiling impact. Critical listening and cinema rooms may use different approaches where performance requirements take priority.
