It runs from 1,800K to 4,000K, holds a CRI of 90 or above, and dims flicker free down to 0.1 percent, which is the specification that matters most in a bedroom or a media room where a conventional driver would have given up and started stepping or flickering long before it got that low.
Most Lumaris enquiries are really tape light enquiries. Two versions exist. Tunable white carries the full 1,800K to 4,000K range and is what goes into coves, under cabinets, along shelves, and behind headboards where the light should be felt and not seen. RGB plus tunable white adds saturated colour on top of the same white range, which is the specification for a bar, a media room, a wine display, or a stair run that changes for an occasion. Both come in 16.4 foot and 98.4 foot rolls and cut down to two inch segments, so a run can be tailored to an actual joinery dimension rather than the dimension the roll happens to be. Seven aluminium extrusion profiles cover surface, recessed, and corner mounting with a choice of lens and diffusion, and picking the right extrusion is most of what separates a cove that glows evenly from one where you can count the diodes.
Lumaris downlights come in three and four inch apertures and in two installation types, and the distinction decides whether a project is straightforward or not. The Remodeler is a fully integrated canless housing that goes into a finished ceiling, cutting an aperture rather than requiring access from above. The Retrofit is designed to drop into existing recessed cans, which means a house with fifty conventional downlights can be converted to tunable white without touching the ceiling at all. That second option is the one that surprises people. A 1990s house full of tired six inch cans can end up with warm dimming, colour temperature that shifts across the day, and keypad scenes, without a single sheet of drywall coming down.
Three products, one range, and a clear order. Lumaris gives tunable white from 1,800K to 4,000K plus an RGB tape option, and it retrofits into existing cans. Rania gives a wider white range, 1,800K to 5,500K, with Ketra's colour mixing behind it and no saturated colour. Ketra gives the full spectrum including saturated colour and the highest rendering in the range. Cost tracks that order. A well planned estate frequently uses all three: Ketra where materials and art demand it, Rania through the principal rooms, Lumaris in coves, joinery, utility spaces, and anywhere existing cans are being reused. They share one control system and appear together in the same scenes, so the distinction is a specification decision rather than something the owner ever has to think about again. All three are installed and running in the two lighting rooms at our San Carlos design center. The Lounge is furnished as a family and living space with real furniture, rugs, and finishes. The Office is a clean workspace environment where colour temperature across the day shows most clearly. Same materials, same intensity, same room, seen rather than described, which is the only way we know of to settle the choice properly.
This is the practical difference that makes Lumaris reach further than the rest of the range. Ketra and Rania are HomeWorks products on residential work, which means a panelised system and, on a new build, walls open at the right moment. Lumaris was engineered for Lutron's wireless control as well, so it runs on RadioRA 3. A finished house with no lighting control at all can therefore get RadioRA 3, Lumaris retrofit downlights, Lumaris tape in the joinery, Triathlon battery shades at the windows, and keypads on the walls, with no rewiring anywhere. That combination is the single most common project we quote on the Peninsula, and it is worth knowing it exists before assuming a rewire is the only path.

A cove too shallow for the source, so the diodes are visible as dots rather than reading as a line. The wrong diffusion for the viewing distance. A run longer than the driver supports, so the far end sits dimmer than the near end. Power feed positions decided after the joinery is built. Extrusion chosen last when it should have been chosen first, because it determines the routing depth the cabinetmaker has to allow for. We detail tape runs on drawings, coordinate the extrusion with whoever is building the millwork, and specify drivers against the actual run lengths. It is unglamorous work and it is the whole difference between a cove that looks intentional and one that looks like an afterthought.
